The local two-player showdown
A face-to-face mode with an overhead town, mirrored controls and clear best-of match results.
4 MIN READ · LIVE GAME DOCUMENTATIONHow to set up and play High Noon Duels with two players on the same phone, tablet or keyboard.
Set the device between both players
Local mode is designed around a shared screen. One control pair sits at the top, the other at the bottom and the duel unfolds in the town between them. The overhead camera avoids giving either player a preferred side-on view.
For a phone or tablet, place the device flat on a stable surface. Each player holds their own two buttons. On keyboard, Player 1 uses A and F while Player 2 uses H and L.
Choose the match length
One Shot settles everything in a single valid duel. Best of 3, 5 and 7 create longer matches while preserving the same round rules. The side scoreboard points toward the center so both players can read it from their positions.
Every round result reports both reaction times and the difference between them. The match final is visually distinct from a normal round and identifies the champion before a new match begins.
A mode that stays offline
The local showdown does not need matchmaking, an account or a second phone. Core input and animation remain available when the network is unavailable.
Because both people share the physical device, local play is not submitted to online rankings. It is a social competitive mode, separate from server-verified ghost records.
Put the rules to the test
